Who we are

United Tunneling started in 2014 with a simple idea — take on the underground jobs that others couldn’t, or wouldn’t, do.

What began as a small operation grew quickly after landing their first project, where the reality set in that they needed to invest in the right equipment and build from the ground up. That hands-on start combined with the extensive underground knowledge of the founding members shaped the company into what it is today — practical, resourceful, and focused on getting the job done properly.

From those early days, United Tunneling has grown into a specialist trenchless contractor working across New Zealand. The business now operates with a close-knit team alongside founders Nathan, Neil and Tim who remain actively involved in the day-to-day work and direction of the company.
